Itf 14, also known as EAN/UCC-14, is the
GS1 implementation of an Interleaved 2 of 5 bar code to encode a
Global Trade Item Number. ITF-14 symbols are generally used on
packaging levels of a product. The ITF-14 will always encode 14
digits.
Encoding
Itf 14 encodes pairs of digits; the first digit is encoded in the
five bars ("black lines"), while the second digit is encoded in the
five spaces interleaved with them ("white lines"). Two out of every
five bars or spaces are wide (hence 2 of 5).
Check Sum
Accu2000 BarcodeComponent automatically add a Mod 10 check digit.
